How To Color Your Quilt Pattern

I love how a quilt can look so different depending on the fabric. My Sew Loved quilt pattern features the Tails & Threads collection by Patty Basemi for Art Gallery Fabrics.

However, take a look at some of the other fabrics used by some of my pattern testers:

Have you ever wanted to try out fabrics before deciding on a final look? Here's where PreQuilt comes in. Not only can you design quilt patterns on PreQuilt, you can also use coloring pages where designers have uploaded their patterns for you to color.

I had a good time making a few mockups. PreQuilt has the major quilt fabric manufacturer's solid fabric colors already available.

What a difference changing the colors makes! You can also upload fabric swatches to try out. What is your style? Soft pastels? Bright 30's reproduction? Or maybe something modern?

Left: Blossom & Grow by Maureen Fiorellini for Studio E Fabrics. Middle: 30's Playtime by Chloe's Closet for Moda Fabrics. Right: Firefly by Ruby Star Society for Moda Fabrics.

If you still need help deciding on fabric, check out the Two In Stitches shop. They have eight lovely Sew Loved quilt kits available!
