It's week 3 of the Sew Loved quilt along! This week we'll be making the spool blocks.
To get caught up, check out:
TIPS:
If using directional fabrics, be sure to plan out your spool blocks accordingly.
When attaching the "thread" to the "spool tops and bottoms", you'll notice the points will only match up AFTER you sew them. Be sure your seam allowance is accurate before getting started.
This block is also great for chain-piecing. Read Week #2 tips for more information if you haven't tried chain-piecing before.
The week #3 giveaway sponsor is Chenille-It!
One lucky winner will receive a roll of 5/8" Chenille-It in the color of their choice. I've used Chenille-It to add detail and texture to my quilts as well as for binding.
I'll be using it to bind my Sew Loved quilt. I'm pretty sure I'm going to use Hot Pink. It's going to be so pretty!
